libkpathsea6 software package provides TeX Live: path search library for TeX (runtime part), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libkpathsea6
libkpathsea6 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libkpathsea6 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libkpathsea6 *
You will get with libkpathsea6 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
